Typewizard – Masterthesis

We are always looking for suitable fonts for design projects. But how do we find them in the endless range of fonts? This is where Typewizard acts as a digital assistant. With interactive filters, ratings and a user-centered interface, the tool helps designers find the ideal typeface for their projects and navigate freely through the sea of fonts.

In this master’s thesis, an attempt has been made to reappraise the parameters for selecting fonts from a different perspective and to underpin them with new knowledge from font personality research. By evaluating studies on the emotional influence of fonts and researching the use of filter systems, a prototypical tool has been created that illustrates the path of a broad font search.
